FREE & convenient workout program

Hey everyone!

Sick of paying for gym memberships? Want a fitness plan without spending any money?

Read on!

My days of spending money on gym memberships, P90x, Insanity, Crossfit, Yoga, kickboxing, etc are over. In my opinion, it’s too easy to get caught up in trying to be cool/trendy/perfect/super efficient in your fitness routine instead of just exercising because it’s good for you and you enjoy it.

My two criteria for involving something in my fitness plan:

  1. It has to be free
  2. It has to be convenient. If I have to go somewhere or do something weird/overly difficult, I’m just not going to do it

I alternate between three exercises throughout the week and they are ALL FREE.

  1. Running
  2. Push-ups
  3. Sit-ups

Exercise: Running

Equipment needed: Shoes

Optional: Runkeeper App, headphones, Pandora, cool guy shades

Why do you care?

It’s free! (Have I mentioned this?) No membership required! Seriously, running is such a simple exercise. I HATE going to the gym. Running gets you up, moving, outside and you don’t even have to be good at it. You can just put your shoes (and clothes), go outside and start jogging.

I personally use the Runkeeper app to track my distance and times. My route typically doesn’t change as I am the ultimate creature of habit, but it’s still cool to track…and FREE. Oh and Pandora is FREE too.

Exercise: Push-ups

Equipment needed: Nothing!

Optional: 100 Push-ups app or website

Why do you care?

It’s freeee! Push-ups are a great upper body workout. They tone your chest, triceps, shoulders and core. I highly recommend the 100 Push-ups app. It allows you to track what you are able to complete during each workout and tells you what to do next. No thinking…just free exercise! Here’s the link:

Exercise: Sit-ups

Equipment needed: A mat or towel

Optional: 200 Sit-ups app or website

Why do you care?

YUP it’s free! Sit-ups are a great workout. They tone your abs, hip flexors and core. I highly recommend the 200 Sit-Ups app. By the same makers of the 100 Push-ups app, it tracks what you’re able to do and provides you with customized workouts that will help you build up your ability over time. That’s it! No gyms, no crazy equipment, no time wasted waiting for machines or expensive classes.
